After reading Laura’s first book, I wanted to connect with my Pappaps who had crossed over when I was 12. I asked him for the sign of Crackerjack’s which I had remembered eating with him as a kid. That evening, my husband was watching TV, I stopped to listen to the interview with a cook, and he mentioned that his secret junk food of choice were Crackejacks!!!! Then, on my birthday, I was sitting in the backyard at my parent’s house enjoying a quiet moment to myself, and my 7 yr old son wanders by and sings ‘CrackerJacks’!...the perfect birthday sign. I asked for the same sign again while reading Laura’s second book. A few days after asking for the sign, my son asked for crackers. When I handed them to him, he sang Crackerjacks two times in a row. Aside from these two times, I have never heard him say that! I knew as soon as I heard it, it was a sign of love meant for me from a grandparent whom I had been missing a long time. Laura’s book has provided a language of love that has enriched my life and given me so much joy and comfort. I love the message but found the actual “meat” of the book lacking. There are too many stories of people and not enough interesting data on signs. I would love to know more of historial and scientific aspect of signs- I really got bored half way.
